His first TV role was in 1993 when he was 24 and his first big debut in 1997 when he got a lead role in a British-Irish production movie: Prince Valiant. In 1999, he played in BBC TV series Midsomer Murders and Death in Disguise.

Private life
Sometime actor’s private life links with the professional one, and that’s the case for Stephan Moyer. As soon as 2007, during the filming of the pilots of True Blood, Stephan met with the female lead character actress, Anna Paquin, and this was the start of a love story between the two of them. The fact that Sookie Stackouse (aka Anna Paquin) and Bill Compton (aka Stephen Moyer) have to be lovers since episode one till episode 80, was decisive in their relationship.
Anna and Stephen married in August 2010 and Anna gave birth to fraternal twins Charlie and Poppy in September 2012.
